Pema Khandro answers students questions about whether it is useful to give other people critical feedback and advice. She explains that the root of the Buddhist teachings is examining one’s own mind and discusses harmonious relationships and a sane Buddhist community through relaxing in the face of others imperfections.
WOW! I love this topic. Thank you for re-clarifying (I say re-clarifying because I’m know you’ve told us this many times before) what our work is as practitioners when communicating with others. There are so many different types of “communication” exercises available out there in the world. It’s very helpful to know the underlying focus that makes communication a liberating and satisfying experience.
This makes complete sense. That is why I love her and Vajrayana and YMI and Buddhism.

THE BLACK DAKINI CHOD TRADITION This is a Tibetan meditation which is a potent, dynamic practice for awakening compassion and facing death. Morning large group sessions will focus on the Black Dakini, the profound deity yoga meditation on the black wrathful dakini from the Jeweled Garland of Chod, (the Rinchen Trengwa) that was practiced by the first Pema Khandro and passed down from fourteenth century Tibet. This practice…
